Festival Significance
Nag Panchami is dedicated to the worship of serpent deities (Nagas). Snakes hold a sacred place in Hindu mythology — Shiva wears Vasuki around his neck, and Vishnu rests on Shesha Naga. Celebrated across India, especially in rural areas.
Rituals
Draw snake images on walls or worship live or metal snake idols. Offer milk, turmeric, flowers, and rice. Do not dig the earth on this day. Visit Naga temples.
