DIVINE SAINIK SCHOOL

The Divine Sainik School group was founded by S.N. Singh, who served in the army before turning to education. He first ran a coaching institute, Current Coaching, from very modest beginnings, and later built it up into the school group. That army background explains the school's strong emphasis on discipline.

The founder has set up a Sitaram Ashram next to one of the group's campuses. It has a statue of his late guru, and continuous 24-hour Sitaram chanting has gone on there since 2018. About 20–25 sadhus live there, and visitors come for bhajan and prasad. The founder said he hopes students will drop in for darshan when they have time. National days are big occasions at the school, with cultural programmes put on by the students. The founder says the aim is to build national feeling and introduce children to the people who sacrificed for the country.
